The C word Censorship there a lot of it don't you just hate it, & want games to be uncensored with a new trend that play-Asia started releasing English subs for the Asia market like moe chronicics & moe crystal & that dead or alive 3 extreme all with English subs.

Play-Asia has tweeted this (29th June)

"If you like to express your desire for specific games to be released in English in #R3 (Asia) email us here:

[email protected]"

Basically cutting out the middle man self happy triggered censorship locallise teams. If enough requests we get our games what Devs attended us to play & not a third party telling use of what we should be played their vision over Devs vision.

Edit: nearly at the end of the video.

IFI doesn't censor video games so I'd rather just email them requests (like they say you can in their FAQ here) asking for games to be localized rather than asking for English Asia versions from Play Asia. Its the better of two scenarios in my opinion. Plus it increases the chances of PC ports of their games I would think.

IFI doesn't censor games, which means games that need to be censored won't be localized. If you know which ones those are (hi2u Genkai Tokki games), then there's no point in asking for anything but English Asia.

I mean you can try, but it's probably not going to happen. Best of luck to you if you do.

I already emailed them about Genkai Tokki Seven Pirates recently and Moe Chronicle a while before it, and they seemed pretty optimistic regarding a Seven Pirates localization at the very least, so I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility. But they said it would help if more people asked for it, which is why I think people should do that rather than just default to Play Asia. At the very least, email both.

Absolutely in support of the decision not to release MeiQ in Australia instead of censoring it. Anybody here that was planning on buying the game before the ban announcement came out is STILL going to get it regardless of the law, including myself.

With that being said, PlayAsia stated that they were planning on keeping shipping of MeiQ available to Australia, which is a tad odd since it's illegal. I'm not entirely sure what this means.
D'you reckon they'd, on request, alter box/cartridge label art and declare a different title for imports?

Honestly I feel this is a bad idea for the NA/EU companies when it comes to a brand. Yes people will import, but there are those that'd rather have the game in their region officially. For many "Asia" isn't where they officially, it cuts out the middle man sure, but what about those vita games...any dlc? You're screwed, one of the reason's why I'm not getting seven pirates. That and importing is far more costly compared to buying it through your area's retail price, I'm not spending 80$ on a vita game unless there's a LE. Some will just have to deal with not having the game in their region, but that's no reason to cut out the other markets that are a-ok with the content.

Vita games don't cost $80 to import.

Most console games don't even cost that anymore.

About the legal or illegal importing goods that 1 place banned it, I said this if PEGI ever banned a game it unlikely it will I can still buy it import from abroad the same thing if the game is censored here in EU.

When it be illegal to import if CERO refuse a rating & banned there & PEGI did the same & ESRB too, question how you gonna police importers like Amazon not to bring over a game IF UK banned a game.

While that rating over there deem it fine there. If the worse case happen it be though new legislation to become law.

So I'm saying every region refuse a game you can't buy it in that country. & every one will have to refuse a rating can you see that happening.

Granted, but for a few years now they've been costing that over here anyway.

It's actually cheaper to import here than buy physical, and so interested parties should just do so.
